Are there trade shows geared towards market research and/or focus group moderators? If so, where? Are there facilities in California that offer moderator training? Most University courses just touch on the subject. Any useful information would be a great help.

A 4-year degree is a must, but a graduate degree will open doors in the long term. The more you understand statistics %26amp; social science research methods, the better off you'll be. University of Georgia and Unversity of Wisconsin-Madison have graduate-level training programs.
