Prices can depend on the company, but for the most part there are two levels of market research services. The first level contains all the websites on the web that offer cheap do-it-yourself survey packages. These sites are not good unless you are trying to do a simple small survey. The second level are full service market research companies that will design, administer, and analyze the survey for you. Though this is more expensive, it's the way to go if you don't know a lot about market research. One good one is Infosurv (listed below) with prices around $3500-$6500 for a full-service package. It's well worth the price for the service you receive. Another is called AC Nielson (also listed below) but they are a bit bigger and usually charge 2-3x as much for the same work. They are both well known and respected companies in the field.
