Where to do market research?

I have been reading up about stock investments...and alot of people say to analyze the companies and the market overall. Whats a good site to do this? Like finance.yahoo.com or what? And where do you even start looking for stocks that have a good history or stuff like that.

Where to do market research?
In addition to reading what others think of a company's performance, you can, and you should, either request the Annual Report (or view online, if available) for any company in which you are interested in investing. Don't just look at one, see if you can review several years back from the latest.
