What/where are the best ways to find data about targeting a market for upscale children's clothing buyers?

I'm starting an e-commerce boutique for girl's clothing, ages 0-5. All market research I'm finding is on larger retailers. I'm also trying to deduce what areas of the country have the most disposable income with children and may be additionally internet savvy. Finally, I know of a couple of blogs and virtual publications appropriate to this subject such as, TotTrendsWeekly, Daddy Drama, etc. Are there other blogs and publications that anyone can recommend for upscale boutique children's clothing?

Thanks in advance!

Check magazines and, as you mentioned, blogs and virtual publications that cater to this market. Then find forums related to the market and start participating. This will allow you to get to know members of your market, and learn about them. This is the inexpensive, but time-consuming method.

(If you click the Resources link at the TotTrendsWeekly site, you'll see a list of sites, some of which include forums.)

Alternately, you can hire market researchers to find out what you need to know. Of course, that costs money.
