Is all this about "ask a question" and providing message boards really just being done by Yahoo so as to gauge the public's interests?

It is market research for Yahoo and its partners. For people who participate is entertaining, a way to communicate with others.

Reply:I doubt it. Yahoo run an absolutely massive search engine. Analysing the search engine would provide infinitely more accurate information than looking at random questions on here. :)





I think Yahoo! set this up because they knew it was a good idea, which would catch on. Well done to them for that! =D
