Just wanted to do some market research, and find out why their fans use to loved them so much, and bought their albums, instead of singles.
Market Research: Why where aritst like Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Nsync, so popular?
It's all in the look and the marketing. Preteen and early teen girls are trying to form a self-identity and music and style plays a big part.
Boy bands are selling an attractive, stylish and romantic image for girls that still get excieted about crushes. The female pop stars like Spears (early career) portray an image that many girls want to emulate: popularity, cool clothes, self-confidence with boys.
The music is upbeat with lots of pop hooks, and the lyrics are sweetly romantic with subtle sexuality, but not so blatant that young girls (and their parents) would find it threatening.
Of course if you ask the girls themselves they will tell you that they like the beat and dancing to the songs. They don't realize it's the marketing image that draws them in.
Reply:Teen Pop music and boy bands were big for their times!
And personally, I love the Backstreet Boys, and NSYNC, because I'll always forever be a fan!!!!! :D
I actually love BSB more, and I have all their albums along with Unbreakable! They are the best ever! :D
Britney Spears though... I hated her ever since she messed up her freaking life... she's a shank!!!!!
Reply:Kids have bad taste. Young girls like nonthreatening males, rugged males scare them and possibly remind them of their fathers. They go for the pretty boys. I guess they used Britney as whore training. Also their brain are not fully formed so they make bad viewing choices, Barney anyone?
