Market Research Question - Women's Sporting Goods?
There are many successful niche retail businesses like that, so I don't see why it wouldn't work. Ladies Footlocker is a similar concept.
You would have to craft your value proposition well to convince women that your store understands and caters to their needs better than a standard sporting goods store, since you probably can't compete on price with the high volume stores.
Storefront would probably be easier to provide a unique retail experience geared toward women, but the market potential in any one area may not be large enough. Perhaps near a large university?
Online would open up a much larger potential market, but how do you communicate the unique benefits?
