I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

How do I start out so that one day I can be a Marketing Research Analyst?
There are many marketing analyst positions available straight out of undergrad. I worked as a Strategic Marketing Analyst for several years immediately after earning my Bachelor degree.





If you are still in school, try to find an internship with a company that you are interested in. That is a great way to get your foot in the door, and see if you really like the job.

• 3-4 years experience in measurement and analysis of data from a business and marketing perspective


• Strong computer skills and a high level of proficiency in Access, Excel, PowerPoint and SQL


• Agency/consulting and Internet-related business experiences preferred


• Related experience in any of the following areas are a plus:


- Email marketing measurement, site analysis and online media analysis


- Web research (competitive and industry analysis)


- Statistical analysis, spreadsheet modeling


- Business strategy and presentation development


- Consumer market research (survey development)
